All Northland Clinic personnel are committed to a belief in the dignity and worth of the individual.  They are devoted to maintaining integrity with respect to their duties as they come in contact with consumers, other service providers, and the public.

All therapists adhere to the professional code of ethics as set forth by their professional discipline's guidelines (i.e. American Psychiatric Association, American Psychological Association, and National Association of Clinical Social Workers).

Business practices will follow a standard of honesty and safeguards that protect the consumer against misrepresentations.  Northland Clinic accurately represents and only markets to the public the services that its staff are professionally trained to proved.

All Northland Clinic personnel have an obligation to safeguard and preserve the confidentiality of all consumer related information.  Clinical and office staff follow strict guidelines as set for by HIPAA and the Michigan Mental Health code.

The clinical staff will accurately represent their professional qualification as it relates to providing the highest standard of professional services to the consumer.  Services and techniques provided will be based on acceptable practices within the professional community.

The clinical staff will show respect to the social codes and moral expectations of the community and recognize that violations of accepted moral and social codes of behavior may be harmful to consumers, colleagues, and the reputation of the staff and Northland Clinic.  The therapist will always maintain professional and objective personal conduct between himself/herself and the consumer.

The consumer will be made aware, as soon as possible, of the kind of treatment procedure(s) contemplated, medications involved, financial responsibilities, and anticipated outcomes.  The consumer will also be informed of any limits of confidentiality as this might effect his/her decisions to continue or limit their treatment with clinic staff.

All staff will adhere to strict guidelines that prevent any form of discriminations based on age, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and cultural variations.  All staff will ensure that consumers remain free from abuse, exploitation, retaliation, humiliation, and neglect by staff.
