Therapeutic
Treatment
of children, adolescents, and adults via the modalities of:

Individual counseling: focus
is on the individual and his or her adjustment to daily life (i.e.,
work, interpersonal, and health related sources of stress).

Group counseling: focus is
on improving basic interpersonal skills related to establishing and
maintaining meaningful relationships with others.

Marital counseling: focus is
on resolving problems within the marriage and improving communication
skills.

Family counseling: focus is
on resolving problems within the family and improving communication
skills. This form of treatment most often includes all members of the
family.

Substance Abuse counseling:
focus is on improving the individual's capacity to function
substance-free and to maintain a drug-free lifestyle. Both individual
and group forms of counseling are utilized.
Diagnostic
Evaluations and psychological testing
of infants, children, adolescents and adults.
In Addition
We work with community resources,
referring to or encouraging a patient's use of other agencies such as
Alcoholics Anonymous, Michigan Vocational Rehabilitation Services, and
Community Mental Health Programs. When hospitalization is required, we
provide liaison psychiatric services at several metro Detroit area
hospitals.
Confidentiality
Northland Clinic holds confidentiality
to be of paramount importance and complies fully with Michigan law. No
patient information is given out without the written consent by the
patient.
Northland Clinic does not
